If the Earth were round, then supposedly the pool table should be angled ever so slightly and the pool ball should have moved due to the slope it was placed on. Assuming you executed the experiment correctly, you will find that the pool ball has not moved a single inch, nay, a single millimeter. One important thing to note here is that billiards tables are specifically designed to provide almost non-existent resistance. Leave the ball and table untouched and free from any outside influence for a whole week. Mark the exact position of the ball on the table.
Once you have verified that the billiards table is flat, place a singular billiards ball on top of the table. Check with a level to ensure maximum flatitude (or whatever you round heads call it).
